Step 01 — AUTO

Assimilate: we learn the business before we touch it.

Before we recommend anything, we work inside your world — alongside your team, in your tools, learning how the business actually runs. You can't fix what you haven't understood.

Why we start here

Before you execute a plan to get where you need to be, you need to know where you are.

Most consulting starts with a recommendation and works backward to justify it. We start the other way around. We sit with your team, read what's already been written, and learn the nuances — how decisions get made, what's load-bearing, where the real risk lives. When the business strategy, the roadmap, and the day-to-day work have drifted apart — which is more common than anyone admits — assimilation is where we find the gap.

This isn't a kickoff meeting. At Lucid Hearing, our people embedded for years, and it started with learning the company well enough to turn a hearing-aid manufacturer into a customer-data business. The immersion is what makes everything after it credible — including having someone qualified to check the work.

Get this step wrong and every step after it is a guess.

What assimilation looks like

In the room, not on a call sheet.

We work alongside your team

Not interviewing them from the outside. We embed where the work happens so we hear what people actually think, not the tidy version.

We read what already exists

The roadmap, the contracts, the architecture — for what they really say, not what the cover slide claims.

We align on the goal first

Before anyone proposes a fix, we agree on what we're actually trying to do. Most engagements go sideways because that step got skipped.

Let's talk

Want us to learn your situation?

A 30-minute call is the smallest version of this step. You'll get an honest read on where you actually are — whether or not we ever work together.
